My computer is losing my drivers and now it cant even detect my USB help?

My sound got disabled and my hl-dt-st cd-rom gcr-8485b and combo 52x32x52x has stopped functioning.I have a dimension 3100 dell computer.

get rid of the virus and go to the dell website and reinstall the drivers

    I would reinstall the operating system if that happened to me,
    much quicker doing this then having to find the correct file that might be missing.
    when I last reinstalled the operaring system on my computer it took around 45 minutes and a bit longer for the windows updates to catch up,
    the computer was restored better then when I first bought it for I did not have all the freeware that you get when buying a new computer.

    you might want to consider backing up all the files and folders first to an external dive so you are able to copy them back after the reinstall.

    If you couldn’t find driver on Dell site easy, you could try a program I use. It automatically updates your drivers, saves me a lot of time and frustration. Take a look here for those drivers.
