I doubt all the iPhone users out there are willing to pay for one of Wind’s phones especially since Wind doesn’t even offer the iPhone. Not only that, iPhone 3G/3GS users won’t get 3G service on Wind’s network since Wind uses the AWS bands.

I also doubt customers who already paid for a smartphone would want to buy another one considering you can’t buy it on contract to save some money. Not to mention Wind only has two smartphones.

No, you can phone …
No, you can phone ANYWHERE across Canada and anywhere in the USA. I think you, like some, are confused. The only time you get charged is when you are outside your HOME zone…no different than how FIDO operates. The difference is that WIND is unlimited in and out calls and text….and that WIND is scrambling to expand the WIND HOME zone.

Rogers is laying off their staff in anticipation of the wrecking crew coming on line in Vancouver etc. They KNOW vengence is a dish best served COLD. There are literally MILLIONS of Rogers subscribers willing to PAY for new phones than remain with Rogers.

I hope you know …
I hope you know that if you want HSPA you have to buy their phones since they’re using AWS bands. In other words, you can’t take an unlocked Rogers / Bell / Telus HSPA phone and use it on Wind’s HSPA network.

However, any of the three big carrier’s phones will work on Wind’s network when using 2G (i.e. GSM) and if the phone is unlocked.
