Apple’s iPods have become a a mainstay of 21st century lifestyle, however all portable media players (PMPs) are not compelled to begin with a pronoun. A lot of apple products have non-apple substitutions, and one or two of these alternatives would most likely be a better decision for a few particular people. This article attempts to compare a few of Apple’s PMPs to their non-apple alternatives. Another nice option might be Bose QuietComfort 15 Noise Canceling Headphones.

The Apple iPod Touch is probably the best outfitted PMP that you can buy. This device is fundamentally an iPhone with everything but the phone, and no other product has that level of applications on hand. Not everybody requires all of such an array of applications, however. Sony’s X Series Walkman works as good as an iPod Touch in relation to saving and playing music, delivers terrific sound and ntegrated Wi-Fi, and also offers a touch pad. Sadly, at close to $300, the Walkman costs the same as an iPod Touch, but provides less. Another great alternative is Bose QuietComfort 15 Noise Canceling Headphones.

You won’t notice the applications you never use, but in that case, why pay for them? Microsoft’s Zune HD is also a thoughtfully engineered media player with a touch screen, web browsing abilities and a wireless music site. This item isn’t compatible with iTunes and isn’t close to being as app-packed, but for a $200 retail cost, you might easily ignore that.

Apple’s iPod Nano is on its 5th generation and has improved with each and every upgrade. Apple’s most recent Nano is tiny, cute, and completely stuffed with features. For about $180, this unit is the best made PMP in its price range, although if you’re interested in another range, you have some choices. Samsung’s Q2 has many Nano-like features for example an intuitive interface and is almost as adorable, while it gives you a little less file capacity. It also will cost you about $50 less, so if you don’t particularly need a few thousand tunes immediately available, this might be a good choice. The most affordable Nano competitor, the Coby MP705 offers slightly less file storage than the Q2, while it still provides MP3 technology together with video, photo and FM radio capabilities, plus a set of solid earbuds. Even more importantly, all of this is available for not quite $50. Another good item to look into is Bose QuietComfort 15 Noise Canceling Headphones.

The Apple iPod Shuffle is Apple’s entry level PMP, and since it’s priced at $60 it works just fine, although this particular iPod has a few opponents that actually out-perform it. The Shuffle’s primary deficit is the absence of a screen, which confines an individual to either hearing playlists or settling for random tunes chosen by your Apple brain. The SanDisk Sansa Clip comes with a micro SD slot to add to its memory, along with a screen to enable you to navigate, and will cost you merely $40.

Your not going to like the answer i can give you. Gaming computers run at chiepest around 800 dollars. Your best option would be to upgrade your current computer. If you Buy a new video card and proccessor It should pick it up a lot!.

The chiepest prices i have ever seen on a website for gaming computers are on

http://www.ibuypower.com/

and they dont have to bad reviews either!

What is so cool about the Acer Aspire One netbook? What are the reviews saying and should you drop your cash on the counter to get one? These are all things potential customers are asking themselves when it comes to this new netbook device. First, let’s take a look at the basics.

What exactly is a netbook? Netbooks are designed to be “cloud computers” more or less, which means less hardware and more power in storing information and applications in the clouds-or the internet in laymen’s terms. For an increasingly mobile generation, this is a great idea. It’s also excellent for an increasingly more wired and connected generation. People are hooked on mobile devices and they are becoming more popular every day. That is why computing devices like the Acer Aspire One are getting such a great response-people love small portable computing devices they can take to a café, take to work, take to the beach-you name it and the Acer Aspire One can go there. With just an 8.9 inch screen-it’s easy to take anywhere you want it to go.

Another great thing about these netbooks is they often come at a much lower price than a typical laptop. This has to do with several factors, and the Acer Aspire One is a great example of this. For example, the One comes installed with a version of Linux that is open source and so, it is free of charge. This greatly reduces the price of the netbook since there is no included cost to license an operating system like, let’s say, Windows XP. Although if you are in dire need of a Windows operating system you can make the extra hundred dollars or so to have it licensed and installed.

The Acer Aspire One is a great netbook for a few major factors. One thing that I personally never enjoyed about netbooks is their cramped keyboards. The Acer Aspire One feels like a real mid-sized keyboard you can feel comfortable typing on. This type of thing goes a very long way since typing on a ridiculously small keyboard can get old and annoying extremely quickly. I even returned a netbook-I got so sick of the keyboard (after two hours!) Luckily, the Acer Aspire One doesn’t suffer from this problem.

A great added bonus of netbooks is their battery life. When you’re on a smaller device you can power it more easily with less added weight-making it much more mobile. For example you won’t have to haul around an AC adapter anywhere you want to access the internet on your Acer Aspire One, you can just rely on the battery to keep you going throughout the day. Some netbooks can go for as long as 4-8 hours on certain batteries. If you’re a road warrior or constantly mobile you might want to look further into an Acer Aspire One for your mobile computing needs.

So my laptop has become really really slow. It seems like it has a bug and nothing will really open or anything. I have another laptop and the same thing has happened to me and I brought it into a computer store and they told me it would cost €120 to fix.
I couldn’t afford that as Im only a student so my brother was able to fix it. He basically took everything off the computer and put the stuff back on bit by bit I think its called rebooting or something! I dont have anything I need on the computer so I dont care if information is lost but I want to fix it and I don’t know how and my brother is away. Help! How do I do this?

You woud need to use an Operating System disc.
You woud have to find one which is the same OS as your current system, for example Vista Home Basic, use Vista Home Basic, XP Home, use XP Home etc.
You just insert the disc, restart your pc and run through the instructions.
You may also want to downoad drivers for things ike Wireess cards, Ethernet ports etc.
If it asks you for a serial code, this will be under your laptop on a green sticker, just retype that code, although the Hard Drive should really hold that code.
Good luck

My boyfriend knows everything about computers and is practically a computer genius. But he works at a crappy factory job. He wants to get a job dealing with computers. Does he need to get a degree first? Or can he just go to computer repair shops or pc/tech places in town and look for jobs there?

He may be better off just starting his own side business because most computer tech support jobs do want to see academic credentials.

Once he builds up his own clientele and is known to be competent and professional, between word of mouth and having some business cards made up, he may be able to support himself and do it full-time after word gets out.

Is there a way to allow HP to read my system infomation in order to see my computer’s serial number?

I have done this before, but I suspect security updates I’ve made the past few years prevent it now.

Connect to site with Internet Explorer, when security alert pop up right click on it and give it Allow/install activeX.
